The Note 10 Lets You Disable Bixby from the Power Button

The Galaxy Annotation 10 and Note x+ bring a agglomeration of improvements over both their actual predecessor, the Note 9 and too the Milky way S10 lineup in some ways. 1 of the improvements made here is the removal of the dedicated Bixby push. With the Note x serial, the phones only take a power button and a volume rocker, with the ability button doubling upwards as the Bixby push with a long-press by default.

While I am in favour of removing the airheaded Bixby button, this new set-up is counter-intuitive as well. I hateful, normally, long-pressing the power push shows up options to ability off or restart your phone among other things, and with the new gear up-up, you might find yourself making that error quite oftentimes and launching Bixby all the time.

And then, if yous dislike Bixby as much as I do, y'all'll be glad to know (as I was) that you can completely disable Bixby from e'er popping upwardly only because you long-pressed on the power button. Here's how:

• Head over to the Settings on your brand new Note 10 or Note 10+, and tap on 'Advanced Features.' Here, tap on 'Side Cardinal'.

• Under the 'Printing and concur' setting, cull 'Power off menu', and that's it. You can now long-press the power push to get to the power off menu just like you're probably used to getting in that location.

Honestly, I'1000 only glad that Samsung at least gave this every bit an choice considering let's be existent — no one uses Bixby, regardless of how many ads Samsung puts out showing people using Bixby to book tables at restaurants and adjust their calendar events.
