afterwards buffing out some scratches of my truck and some much needed waxing i deceit seem to wash off the compound and wax residuum off the plastic trimming. unless i scrape information technology off simply leaves a scrath on the trimming. is there an easier way to have the residue off without messing upward the paint or wax around the trimming or leaving the plastic messed up?

I have the aforementioned trouble. I recollect on mine its clay from a dirt bar, and its turned blackness, and is under the clear plastic trim, similar dirt under fingernails. I haven't tried to tackle it yet considering I had my easily full during the detailing, merely I will try during my nexts launder and wax, which shouled be this week one-time.

I have a white 2001 TRD PreRunner with the blackness plastic cycle well trim (none painted) and they're fading out. They wait like they accept a white milky film on them. Is this from all the years of detergent and waxing, or from the conditions and sun or both? If not from the weather, tin can this build up be cleaned off to become them dorsum to black? I also asked an car body place if they could exist painted white and he said no, that paint will non take to them. Do I only need to by new ones?

Howdy all.
I use Meguires Ultimate Liquid Wax and information technology doesn't leave a marker on my trim.

For my twice yearly iii step (Clay, Sealer/Glaze, and Wax) I used Mothers Sealer / Glaze for step 2. It did get out some white marks on my black plastic trim - none on the rubber trim. Nothing seemed to take it off until I used a pencil eraser - worked great. I read a Mr Clean Magic Eraser will work even improve.

I employ the sealer / glaze every bit step 2 considering using a shine takes some articulate off each time. I volition substitute a not- agressive polish (such as Meguires Color-X) when swirl removal is needed.

Just switch to Turtle Wax Ice synthetic paste. You tin shine all the trim and plastic with it and it volition never leave white residue and protects everything. Every bit far as getting yours cleaned back upwards, proficient luck!
